If hungry eat anything. I had buffet when visited bloomington first and was hungry. we came here by our choice, but after having lunch, it was big no no for another visit. very less choices of items, desert was pathetic and rice was as good as rice, not coocked at all. chicken was so so and chilli chicken was suppose to eat with screw and hammer. Awesome experience and we will never be back here again. Thanks
Mumbai Style Food is the best. We usually like to order take out and eat it at home, the Sag Paneer (vegetarian spinach dish) is one of their specialties and it is very delicious. We also love the Chicken Tikka Masala.
Very Good Food!.
I like the food here so much that whenever I am in Bloomington I usually try to stop by to get lunch or dinner! I ate there today (Vegetable Korma dish) for lunch and I usually don't eat all of my food, but I stuffed myself today because it was just so good. I practically licked my plate clean! I have had their lamb roghan josh & chicken mukhani (butter chicken) and that is really very good also!
If you like to cook you can stop by their little grocery store next door to the restaurant and buy the ingredients to cook your own Indian food.
Avoid Using This Resturent At All Cost.
Ok... I was desparately looking for a nice Indian resturent in Bloomington IL. and found this Puran Indian Restaurant. Initially i was very happy, that finally i have found a Indian resturent. So i took my some work co-workers there at Lunch time at 1:00 Pm.
We ordered the food, from Lunch menu. we were all shocked when we saw the quantity of the meal.
One plate of Chicken Vandalo has 3 small pieces of chicken at the size of Green beens. I asked the waiter, what is this, knowing very well. how chicken vandalo looks like. The waiter repplied. sir what you expect to get in 10 doller. Seems like you eat alot, why not order 3 or 4 plates for your own self. that is 4 x 10 dollers I was shocked by his statement, I said Well if the quantity is too less then you shoudl mention in your menu. He repplied, why dont you order then the Dinner menu, i said its Lunch time, he said, so what.. and we had an argument,
My co workers walked out saying they cannot and will nto pay 10 dollers for this meal, in which there is no chicken, but, i stayed there and asked him to pack my meal, I took meal back home, ate it there, few hours after having that food, i started to had bad stomach pain and i was throwing up whole night.
I would highly suggest Food and healthhh department to either close this resturent or atleast do a inspection.
Good Indian in Bloomington. We were visiting town to work out the details for our move here from NYC. We were thrilled to discover that there was an Indian restaurant in town. The food was very good although you wouldn't go there for ambience. But I haven't been to many Indian restaurants that do put much effort into decor. What's even better is right next door is the Puran Market which has all kinds of Indian groceries for your own personal Indian cooking. Very happy to find that in the MW.
