POOR DECISION & Discrimination!. I highly recommend people think twice before eating at a place who cannot accept handicap people! Just because a person is unable to talk, walk or eat like you or I doesn't mean they are disturbing other people! The owner said he was "affraid" he would lose his customers because a handicap child was "too loud" or "his noises were disturbing". This is a place that had been frequented for over 10 yrs by this family and never had a complaint. Shame on you owner!!! I will never eat at your restaurant and will spread for others not to as well! You should treat people with respect and courtesy, no matter their race, age, or challenges in life!
Best Pizza Around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Abe and Ruth make the finest pizza I've ever had bar none. The other foods on the menu are excellent also.
My wife and I have been going to Abe's to eat for several years and would recommend it anyone.
Their buffet is marvelous.
A short while ago ... ... ... Several streets north of where it is now located ... ... ....
This business was run by the respectable Denny and Jean on Vernon Road and named The Chicago Dough Company. My date and I discovered this business quite by accident and were taken away with the hospitality, kindness and intelligence of the staff working there and how absolutely fantastic the pizza tasted. What made this pizza so special? The sauce and the fact they had overcooked our mini pizzas to an aromatic deep brown burntness which made for a taste we had heretofore never experienced in our lives. Since this time, I always order my pizza well done no matter where I go. Any way. Back to the here and now and the reality of never being able to go to The Chicago Dough Company ever again. :-(
I continued my pilgrimage to this business from where I live over a half an hour away because of all of the above and eventually The Chicago Dough Company was sold to Abe and his wife who several years later moved this heaven of a place for pizza to where it stands now. The pizza stayed the same excellent kind it had always been and I kept on voyaging over there ... ... ... UNTIL ... ... ... A few years ago I zipped on over for a fine lunch mini pizza and ordered my favorite style from the waiter, Abe's daughter, at the time. About four minutes before my dream pizza was to be brought to my table, Abe came out to tell me - - - GET READY FOR THIS - - - He had changed the sauce!!!!!!!!!! Does it take a rocket scientist to figure out how sour my stomach then felt knowing what would be coming out could in no way be any where near as full of flavor as what I had been for so long used to? You know it. I know it. It sucked. I have not been back. Instead, I gave another place in the twin cities a try I had heard of, Tobin's Pizza, and this is where I now go for a fantastic pizza dinner in these same twin cities. Follow my lead. You will not be disappointed!!!
